Parent Governor

Please tell us a little bit about who you are and what you currently do with your time

My name is Syed Hasan and I work as a Credit Risk Manager in a private financial organisation. I have been in this professional for about 20 years working in different financial organisation. I like to spend my free time with my family and prefer doing outdoor activities like cycling, hiking etc.

I also like to go on long drive whenever possible and when weather permits. I also volunteer in my local mosque where I have been going since I came to UK.

Please tell us about any education or work experiences which are relevant to your role as a Governor

I completed my post graduate in Operation Research from Edinburgh University in 2006. Before that I did MSC from Karachi University, Pakistan.
I used to teach Mathematics in Pakistan at GCSC and A level.

I am quite interested in my children studies and this has led me to apply for the Governor role. This role gives me greater insight to the school activities, education and its student wellbeing. Also it gives me direct access to ask questions to its leadership team which is really helpful.

Please tell us why you wanted to be a Governor for LSC specifically and what you hope to achieve in this role

As a parent, I am hoping to make a positive impact to the student education and wellbeing in this role.
