Principal Gill Burbridge congratulates students
Principal Gill Burbridge said:
“We are incredibly proud of everything our students have achieved this year. Whether studying A Levels or vocational qualifications, they have approached their studies with determination, resilience and ambition, and today is an opportunity to celebrate all that their hard work has made possible.
These results are opening doors to exciting opportunities in higher education, apprenticeships and employment, and to future careers across an extraordinary range of sectors – from medicine, pharmacy and nursing to engineering, finance, cyber security and the creative industries.
It is especially rewarding to see students progressing to destinations that reflect the breadth of their talents and aspirations, including the University of Cambridge, Imperial College, a wide range of Russell Group universities, drama schools, specialist art colleges and music conservatoires. We are also thrilled to see students securing highly competitive apprenticeships.
Their achievements also reflect the strength of our college community. High expectations, expert teaching and dedicated support give our students the confidence and opportunities to fulfil their potential. I would like to thank our staff for their exceptional commitment and our families for the encouragement they have provided throughout our students’ studies.
Most importantly, congratulations to our students. They should be enormously proud of what they have achieved, and we look forward to seeing where their talents and ambitions take them next.”
As students prepare to take their next steps into higher education, apprenticeships and employment, Leyton Sixth Form College extends its warmest congratulations to all those collecting their results today and wishes every student continued success for the future.
