Please tell us a little bit about who you are and what you currently do with your time

Hi, I’m Michael Boachie, currently working at Leyton Sixth Form College in the Admissions department as Senior Admissions Advisor. I have spent many great years working here and watching the college go from strength to strength. In my spare time, I enjoy the gym, doing things around London, swimming and travelling (when I can!)

Please tell us about any education or work experiences which are relevant to your role as a Governor

Having worked here since 2018, I have developed knowledge of the education sector as well as insight into how best the college can serve all of our local stakeholders. I have strong knowledge and concept of the college’s culture and can effectively bring my skills and intuition to the governing body.

Please tell us why you wanted to be a Governor for LSC specifically and what you hope to achieve in this role

It is absolutely vital that a governing body have some members of staff on the board who are aware of how our college operates day in, day out. As a support staff member, I hope to be a voice for all of our support staff members and represent their interests on the board as best as I can.
