Please tell us a little bit about who you are and what you currently do with your time

Hello – I’m a mum, a senior leader and trusted communications adviser to Chairs, Chief Executives and Directors. I work mainly on environment issues and believe in nature recovery for all people and places. I’m most proud at work of my role promoting the Government’s drive to plant millions of trees as part of the Nature for Climate programme.

Please tell us about any education or work experiences which are relevant to your role as a Governor

I have been a school governor for over twenty years both as a parent and independent governor in primary, secondary and sixth form education. I am passionate about everyone achieving their true potential and supporting as many, who want to, to continue learning and growing. I’ve maintained my own commitment to my personal development originally studying at Liverpool University and more recently Huddersfield University gaining my second degree- a MSc in strategic communications.

Please tell us why you wanted to be a Governor for LSC specifically and what you hope to achieve in this role

I joined the LSC governing body originally as a parent governor. The welcome and encouragement my daughter received from enrolment day to graduation day was beyond inspiring. So, when she set off for university I was delighted to be asked to stay with the LSC family and to serve as deputy chair of governors . My main aim is to make sure that LSC and all its students and staff continue to have the right environment to thrive and succeed.
