The Foundation Learning BTEC level 1 Hospitality and Tourism course is designed to provide a broad, relevant and vocationally based introduction to the travel and tourism sectors.
There are units of study and students must achieve all units to pass the overall course. Students are required to attend Maths and English.
How is it assessed?
All units are internally assessed by teachers on the course. All units have to be completed to achieve the qualification. Maths and English are assessed by either controlled assessments or exam.
Course duration: One year full-time.
What do I need to study this subject?
You should have entry level qualifications and/or you must be able to show an active interest in Travel and Tourism at interview
Where can this lead me?
Students can progress to a BTEC First qualification or into employment or work-based training.

Entry Requirements 2 X E grades at GCSE and/or an English assessment at interview.
