LEYTON SIXTH FORM COLLEGE

On 31st October, a group of 13 Leyton Media students took part in a radio production workshop with Roundhouse Radio, from the world renowned live performance and new media venue.

Roundhouse are an Olympic Media partner and will cover events of interest to the Olympic borough residents in the lead up to to the Olympics, sporting events during the Olympics, and the legacy afterwards. Producers from 1 Extra were amongst the team working with Leyton students. Our students were trained in writing, interviewing skills, using sound recording equipment and editing for radio broadcast.

They produced a lively and informative documentary for Roundhouse Radio on the Olympic legacy, which you can listen to below, or on the Roundhouse website.  It was an intensive and exciting day and we look forward to more upcoming partnership ventures with Roundhouse Radio.
