a Poetic Tragedy of Love, revenge, Death and Passion!
Having read in the newspaper the scandal of the bride who ran away with another man on her wedding day, culminating in their capture and murder, Lorca wrote Blood Wedding. It premiered in Madrid in 1933 amidst great controversy. This dramatic, theatrical tour de force is regarded as a Spanish classic and provides the students with an enormous challenge and the audience with an exciting evening in the Theatre.
