The Learning Resources Area (LRA) is a self-contained active learning area available to all students. This is the place to come if you wish to read, research or use our extensive range of computer and media resources to help with your chosen course of study.
Not all of your days at College will be spent in a classroom, but that doesn't mean you will not be learning. From now on, you can have a more active role in choosing ways to supplement your lessons and make your chosen subjects more rewarding. By carrying out wider reading, research and independent study, you will not only gain a better understanding of a topic, but also learn new skills – for example, in information retrieval, note taking, time management and use of IT, which will be valuable if you continue your studies at university or in your future career.
The LRA is important in providing you with relevant resources and the right atmosphere in which to study, helping you to make the most of your time at College. Facilities are available throughout the College day and after lesson time. Experienced staff are always on hand to help you.
