Leyton’s Travel and Tourism students have graduated from Springboard’s KickStart in London, a programme created to support young people in the transition from education to employment.

The KickStart graduation took place on Monday 31st October 2016 at The Corinthia Hotel. Of the 55 young candidates who started the KickStart programme, 53 have successfully completed the course, with 95% either going into full or part time work, or returning to education.

KickStart provides an ideal platform for 16-24 year olds to make the transition into the world of work, and has this year been run in seven cities across the UK. Participants achieve accredited qualifications relevant to the hospitality industry and are able to engage in a two week structured work placement in some of the UK’s leading hospitality businesses. The programme helps young people make informed career decisions and provides a foothold on the career ladder through work experience.
