LSC Film Studies student Jordon Benjamin swept the board at the Walthamstow International Film Festival held at the Empire Cinema last Sunday.

Forgotten, a tense drama exploring abuse and grief, was awarded the festival’s top prize, beating competition from amateur and professional filmmakers worldwide (including Holland and Sweden, as well as local talent). The jury were bowled over by the mature, confident handling of sensitive issues, brought to the screen with visual flair and dynamic storytelling.

The film was also awarded the Audience Prize, and Jordan walked away with a £100 cheque from local sponsor Stow Brothers and a fistful of Empire cinema vouchers.
